Support for the Community of Maui
The devastating wildfires in August greatly impacted our community on Maui in insurmountable ways. Many lost loved ones, their homes, their businesses, their community, and their way of life. With the generous support of ohana near and far, the basic necessities, including food, water and housing, have been taken care of—and some resources have been allocated to mental health services for those directly impacted. But the reality is, there is not enough support to go around and not all services are covered by insurance and government assistance.
My mission is to stand with this resilient community and help the people here who need support getting on a new life path of life—one that has addressed the pain and suffering, whether directly or indirectly affected by the fires. It can help greatly to have someone in your corner as you navigate the complexities of life following a tragedy such as this.
While I commit a portion of my energy to pro bono services like these,
I need your support to help others in need. How to help: when you purchase services with me, there is an option to contribute to the Heal with Aloha Pay it Forward Program. Any extra dollars you can offer go directly to a fund dedicated to helping those affected by the fires here on Maui. You can also donate here.
To the recipients of this program: As we continue the recovery process, I am committed to offering our support, resources, and care to those in need. Whether you're trying to start self-care practices to heal and navigate loss, are a volunteer or first responder needing someone to talk to, working through fear, or dealing with survivor’s guilt, I will do what I can to help you through this.
